moonlit harvest night
shadows of big buffaloes
move about
चाँदनी उपज की रात
बड़ी भैंसों की परछाइयाँ
घूम रहीं
circling the sky
crows chase the kite -
leave it as it rises high
आकाश में चक्कर लगाते
कौए पतंग का पीछा करते -
छोड़ देते हैं जब वह ऊपर उठी
white sky came down
touching the frozen white sea
flying birds stilled between
सफेद आकाश नीचे उतर कर
जमे हुए श्वेत समुद्र को छूते
उनके बीच स्थिर हो गये उड़ते पक्षी
Boys chasing, girls fleeing
dangerous colours they fling
Holi is eternal spring
लड़के पीछा करते, लड़कियाँ भाग रहीं
वह खतरनाक रंग फेंक रहे
होली है अनंत वसन्त
A stout spider entering
Into room from the garden -
retreats as I watch
एक भारी-भरकम मकड़ी अन्दर आती
बगीचे में से कमरे के
मेरे देखते ही दौड़ पड़ी
